Dive shop courses

Curtin Divers may not always be able to run a course when you would like. All dive shops run courses regularly and there are many options available. Curtin Divers do not like to promote a single dive shop, instead we have scoped all the closest dive shops to Curtin and think these are your best open water course options.

1. Dolphin Scuba Welshpool

Cost – $525 (mention you are a Curtin Divers member and the club receives $30 credit)

Certification: PADI Open Water (18m)

Closest dive shop to Curtin. Course generally runs over 2 days, includes everything (no excess rental) and last 2 dives at Rottnest (weather permitting).

2. Perth Diving Academy (PDA) – Fremantle/Balcatta

Cost – $430 to PDAΒ + US$65 online for certification & materials

Certification: RAID Open Water (20m)

Awesome value as PDA credits you back the $430 in boat credit to use with them in the following 3 months after your course. This basically means you can dive for free 2 times within 3 months of your course. Price does not include personal gear (wetsuit, boots, fins, mask/snorkel & weight belt), but this can be hired from PDA or MUD for the course.

4. Perth Scuba
